Influenster Monopoly Junior #GameNight from Hasbro Gaming

I received a VoxBox from @Influenster last week containing MONOPOLY Junior from Hasbro Gaming for our family #GameNight.

The kids really enjoyed the simplicity of the game and the super cute game pieces. This version of Monopoly only uses $1 bills making it easier for the younger children to keep track of they're money and the bank. You can buy super cool properties such as the pet store, candy store and video arcade.

Even as an adult, I enjoy the game and would say it is a great game for all ages and for family game night!

I also absolutely loved that the rules were adapted to make the game less complicated for children. Some of the new features include:
There is only one die

- When you land on a property, it has to be purchased
- Rent is the same as purchase price
- Properties only come in groups of two, so when you own both, rent is doubled
- There are no railroads or utilities
- There are no houses or hotels. You simply claim the spaces you own with special tokens
- When someone runs out of money, the game is over. You can not mortgage properties

or sell houses

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for review/testing purposes

Influenster Garnier Fructis Colour Shield VoxBox

I was selected by Influenster to test out the new Garnier Fructis Colour Shield Hair Care Line.
I like to keep my hair an extra light blonde shade without using an bleach so I have been on the hunt for a good shampoo and conditioner that will help lock in the colour and stop it from fading so fast.

They sent me 3 bottles for free. The shampoo, conditioner and repair mask.

First up is the Shampoo and Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner duo is claimed to stop dry out, fight fade out even after 45 washes, keep colour bold and brilliant and hair silky and soft. Its unique, double-action formula combines acai berry, a natural antioxidant that protects colour, and grapeseed oil, which prevents dryness. Color Shield shampoo is proven to perform.

The Blonde Refresher Repair Mask...
This is a bi-weekly mask to restore true blonde tones and softness. An intense care boosted with neutralizing colorant. An intense care boosted with neutralizing colorant. Violet colorant, especially selected to neutralize brassiness of blonde hair, work to refresh and revive your shade. The intense care formula intensely nourishes to boost shine & replenish softness.

Complete Defense:
Keep blonde hair fresher
Neutralize brassiness instantly
Refresh tone
Restore shine and softness between colouring

The Verdict:
These products all do exactly what they said they would do. I really did notice my hair was soft and shiny even after using my blow dryer and straightener. I will say though while using the product in the shower i did notice my hair felt a bit thicker so i am thinking that might be the "colour shield" sticking to my hair so if you don't like something with product buildup this might not be the hair care routine for you. I have thin hair to begin with so the buildup just makes my hair a bit fuller so its not a major concern for me. Now the repair mask is nice really nice. its like using a purple shampoo but only once every 2 weeks and brings your hair back to a nice blonde colour once it starts to go brassy or yellowish.

i give this line an 8/10 and would deff purchase it again in the future
These items were sent to me for free from Influenster for review purposes. All opinions are my own and i am not being paid to do this.

Silk'n Flash & Go Laser Hair Removal System Review

*Flash & Go Laser Hair Remover*

First of all, let me start this review by stating that I did NOT get this product for free! I did purchased this item from Shoppers Drug Mart myself for $199.99

Slight Overview:
Silk’n Flash & Go is a new product of Home Skinovations that uses laser technology for permanent hair removal. HPL, or Home Pulsed Light, is the technology used by hair removal clinics and salons all over the world and has been the most trusted method for permanent hair removal for over 15 years. This is the same technology used in Silk’n Flash&Go but in a smaller, more compact device.

This specific device is very handy and is plugged in while you use it, not battery-based. It utilizes a cartridge as a source of the HPL technology and each cartridge is good for 5,000 light pulses: more then enough for the recommended treatments.

The size of the device makes it suitable to be used in hard-to-reach and sensitive areas like the upper lip, sideburns, neck, back, chest, arms, underarms, legs, feet and bikini area. Optimal results take time, but you can notice significant decrease of hair growth after 4 to 6 sessions.

How To Use The Device:
The machine has 5 different levels of treatment. If it is your first time do not go over level 1! I will repeat this, because it is important. Do not go over level 1 for your first treatment. Thinking that you will start higher and just really kill off all of your hair follicles is asking for a skin burn. Start at level 1. For subsequent treatments you can start to slowly work your way up the level scale to a 5 if your skin can tolerate that. First it states to shave the hair you wish to eliminate opening the hair follicles so the light can be absorbed easier. You then position the little window over your skin, hit a button on the wand and a very bright flash of light will come out and you'll hear a laser noise. This will not hurt but you will feel a warming sensation. I don't recommend looking at the wand when you do this, the flash is quite blinding. While the unit charges up for the next light flash (a few seconds) I reposition the window over the next area of skin, repeat until you have done the entire body part.

~Treatments 1-4 you do 2 weeks apart
~Treatments 5-7 you do 4 weeks apart
~Treatments 8+ you do as needed until desired results are achieved.

Treatment 1:
I decided to try out this device on the bottom half of my legs which is where i have the most hair growth and is the biggest pain for me to shave every couple days. The first treatment after 2 weeks of not shaving my legs i noticed the hair growth to be a lot slower but the hair did come back just as thick as usual.

Treatment 2:
For the second treatment I increased the level from 1-3. I did not get any bad irritation or burns from level 1so i skipped level 2 intensity and next time i will go to 3 or 4.

Treatment 3:
Before this treatment i did not shave my legs for the full 2 weeks time. The hair growth was very strange to look at. the outer sides of my legs the hair still had grown in almost like normal but not as course and a little patchy while the inner sides of my legs the hair was very light and super fine, also patchy.  By patchy i am meaning that some hair had not grown back in the 2 weeks time (this is good news). I am guessing this is happening because of the hair growth pattern and its not the same rate for every single blade of hair. I went ahead and shaved like normal and continued with the level 3 laser treatment.

Treatment 4:
Right before treatment 4 my hair had grown in the same as the last treatment, no noticeable difference. still growing in slower and patchy. I am using level 4 now.

Treatment 5:
The hair on the outer part of my legs that was still growing in full but slower has finally started to grow back much finer then usual. i must have caught it perfectly on the growth cycle for those follicles. i was starting to get a little worried that the one side of my legs was always going to keep coming back but fear no more!! i am now noticing a bigger difference that im up to level 4 so i might just do the highest setting starting next treatment.

Treatment 6:
So my skin seems to be taking the strength of the level 4 just fine so this time around i am upping it to the strongest level 5 treatment. hair is still growing in slowly and much finer. i think i will need more then the 8 main treatments but i am okay with that since i actually have been seeing results.

Treatment 7:
coming soon.........
The Pros:

* The device is extremely easy and quick to use. you can follow the steps demonstrated on the dvd manual and smaller areas only take a few minutes to treat.
* Unlike HPL-technology devices in clinics and salons, this product cause little to no pain at all. The device is regulated with different energy levels, each increasing in intensity. This aids you in gauging which energy level is most comfortable for you, and you can gradually increase the level as you begin to get used to it. Because the laser setting is regulated, the device does not cause any redness or tenderness.
The product can be used in more than one area of the body. In fact, it can be used to any part of the body, even hard-to-reach areas like the shin and bikini line. It can also be used in large surface areas like the back and chest. What’s more is that it can be used to sensitive areas like the face making the product very versatile.
* Because this device is so lightweight and compact it is perfect for travel and even comes with attachments for international outlets.
The product has a skin sensor in the cartridge making this very safe to use. The sensor is used to detect if the skin is ready for hair removal. This cannot be found in any other hair removal system, which gives Silk’n Flash&Go an edge over its competitors. The technology used by the product is also approved by the FDA, so you can be assured of your safety.

The Cons:

* The initial cost of $200 is a lot of money for something that may or may not work;  however it did drop in price from $500 and laser treatments at a salon could rack up thousands in treatments so really in comparison to that its really not that expensive.
* There are three phases in hair growth, and the product only targets one of the phases: the hair growth phrase. Hence, permanent removal can take at least a year to occur. However, noticeable changes can be seen in as early as the first 4 sessions. After the initial sessions, you can notice that your hair is finer, hair growth is delayed, and lesser hair is present.
*The product is not recommended for persons with dark skin tones and those with hair colors that are light. The HPL technology utilizes the dark pigment of your skin called melanin to absorb the light energy emitted by the device. The absorbed energy is then converted to heat, which in turn disables hair growth. Too much melanin on the skin such as those with dark skin tones can subject these persons to adverse effects, like pain and permanent skin pigmentation. This side effect is, however, regulated by the skin sensor attached to the cartridge that takes all the guesswork out of whether your skin is suitable for the product or not.

Verdict:

To be announced when all 8 treatments have been completed. For now i am quite impressed with this device.

    Influenster ImPress Manicure VoxBox

Hey Dolls! Today I have 2 sets of Broadway ImPRESS Manicure press on nails on review.

Disclosure: I was provided two sets of the ImPRESS Press on Manicures nails to try and share my opinions. I am under no obligation to give a positive review and all opinions stated in this post are my own.

The pink ones are #150 It Girl and the Disney Villains one is Evil Queen

    Instructions on How to Use:

    1. Find the correct nail size for each finger. There are 24 nails in the package so you have options. Keep the nails you’ll be using to the side.

    2. Wash your hands to remove any dirt, etc from your nails. Dry thoroughly.

    3. In the package, you’ll find a “prep pad”. You’re supposed to use this on your nails before application. It says there are English instructions on the packaging, but there isn’t. Luckily, I found a video on their websitethat shows you how to prep. All you have to do is wipe each of your finger nails with the moistened pad they provide.

    4. For each finger; apply the nail by removing the adhesive covering on the back, press firmly up the centre of the nail, then press the sides of each nail.

*The instructions also state that you need to avoid contact with water for a minimum of 30 minutes after the nails have been applied.

    My Experience:
So this was the first time ever i had tried using press on nails. i have gotten my nails done at the salon before but that takes so much time so i usually just leave my nails boring with no colour nothing. I was so excited that i got to test out these press on nails because i would have never picked them up at a store.

I hesitated for a bit looking at them over and over and just thought what's the worse that could happen. i started measuring out the sizes that would fit each nail - not as easy as it sounds but i managed lolz.

so step 1 is to remove the clear tab and apply the nail with the tab part at the cuticle, well wouldn't yah know i dropped the darn thing and didn't know what way to apply it. after going through all the other fingers i am almost certain the first one i did is on upside down (amateur move) and i tried to file it down to size and ended up peeling the plastic, yikes!! so i know what your thinking, this sounds like it was a nightmare to apply these, actually no after i screwed up the first one i payed more attention and the other 9 nails look amazing!! i have been getting so many compliments on these nails and i type on a cash till at work all day, nothing has made them fall off and they even withheld the moisture from a hot shower.

    The Verdict:
i am actually super ImPRESSED <-- see what i did there :P with these nails and would totally recommed them to anyone that's like me and doesn't have the patience for nail polish to dry or want to spend an hour at a nail salon.

I searched where to buy them online and it seems like Wal-Mart and London Drugs carry them for around $10 which is pretty reasonable for the quality and they come in a whole array of designs and colour choices.

*Quick Tip: these do run short in length so make sure your nails are cut short before applying

The Results Are In... Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser is Influensters Mystery Brand VoxBox

The results are in and Ta-Da....

Influenster couldn't fool me with this #MysteryBrand

Its the new Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser!!

L'Oreal Canada has sent me all 4 Full Size products from this new line.

(Photo Credit @Influenster until my items arrive)

I have been using this new treatment (Shampoo, Conditioner & Serum) everyday for the past week and i have seen an extremely drastic change in the amount of split ends i have. keeping in mind that i blow-dry and flat iron my hair every day, my hair should be completely fried and damaged, but its really not bad. This 3 step routine has made my hair so soft and shiny. I am so impressed with the results of this seeing as its a general "drugstore" brand hair care product. Garnier Canada has certainly stepped up their game in the hair care world and introduced an amazing innovative product that is both high in quality and affordable.

I am now super excited to try out the Damage Eraser Reconstruct Butter that is also a part of the new line. This butter is supposed to both strengthen and rejuvenate the hair from root to tip.

Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Influenster L'Oreal Canada Mystery Brand VoxBox Unboxing

I got the Influenster Mystery Brand VoxBox in the mail! Here's a little unboxing and my thoughts on the products!!

As you can see, I got three little sample-size products. They're supposed to be from a L'Oreal Group brand, so it's not necessarily a L'Oreal haircare system but one of 25 global beauty brands that L'Oreal manufactures.

On top it came with a product card that gives me instructions on what to do once I receive the box. I'll also be finding out the identity of the #mysterybrand in a week once I've used these samples!

According to the card, these products are supposed to reconstruct hair's strength by 90% from root to tip, it repairs hair & prevents further damage. How does it work? The mystery product contains damage-fighting Phyto-Keratin Complex and Cupuacu Butter.

The first product is a 50ml sample of Shampoo. The label says it's for: Distressed, damaged hair.

The second product is a 50ml Conditioner sample with the same verbiage as the shampoo.

The third and final product is a Split-End Serum, the label says: Apply to towel-dried hair daily to prevent split ends.

    Over All Review

All 3 products smell amazing!!! They have a nice floral scent but it's not too overpowering. The shampoo lathers up very well so i didn't really need to use much of the product which means it will go further which is nice. The conditioner is a nice thick consistency and made my hair feel very smooth and silky in the shower. I was a little skeptical of the split-end serum since i have thin hair and any serums or oils tend to make my hair greasy looking; i used a small dime size amount of this and it worked really nicely. i was very impressed with how soft it made my hair. i still noticed a bit of split ends but it was an improvement after just one use.

    My Guess

    Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser System

Ok, so maybe I cheated a bit but I knew L'Oreal Canada owned Garnier and it smelt similar to other Garnier hair care products so I went through the Garnier USA website since they usually launch new products in the USA before Canada and I was able to find a haircare system that was based on split end repair and has the Cupuacu Butter and Phyto-Keratin complex.

Thanks for reading, check back for my next product review and to see if i guessed this right!!
